Age Verification Policy

2) How we age-gate and verify

• Date-of-birth gate: you must enter a date of birth confirming you are 20+ and you may be asked to reconfirm your age at key points (e.g., sign-up, login, or before certain features).
• Account information checks: we may review signals such as inconsistent age data, suspicious activity, or user reports.
• Triggered verification: if our controls indicate you may be underage (or if required for compliance), we may request additional proof of age before you can continue using the service.

3) What proof of age we may request

When verification is triggered, we may request information such as:

• a government-issued ID showing date of birth (e.g., NZ driver licence or passport);
• a selfie or liveness check (where used) to confirm the person presenting the ID is the account user;
• other reasonable documentation or checks necessary to confirm you are 20+.

We use age verification to confirm eligibility, not to build marketing profiles of minors. If you do not provide requested proof of age, we may restrict or close the account.

4) Underage users and accounts

• If we identify or reasonably suspect an account is under 20, we may block access, disable features, or terminate the account.
• We may request proof of age; failure to complete verification may result in closure.
• Where appropriate, we may take steps to remove or de-identify personal information in accordance with our privacy practices and legal obligations.

5) Parental guidance and controls

We recommend parents/guardians use device and platform controls (e.g., Apple Screen Time, Google Family Link, app store purchase restrictions, browser filters) to help prevent minors from accessing adult-oriented gaming services or making in-app purchases.

6) Reporting concerns

If you believe a user is underage or an account is being used by a minor, report it to contact@sweepskiwi.com. Please include the username and any relevant details.

7) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect operational changes or compliance requirements. The effective date above shows when it was last updated.
