Responsible Play & Support (NZ)
SweepsKiwi.com supports safer play. If play stops being fun, pause and reach out for help.
Practical guidelines
- Play for entertainment, not to make money or recover losses.
- Set a budget and time limit before you start; stop when you reach either limit.
- Avoid playing when stressed, tired, upset, or under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
- Keep track of spending and time (notes, banking alerts, or device screen-time tools).
- Take regular breaks and balance play with other activities.
Warning signs
- Spending more time or money than planned; chasing losses.
- Hiding play from others; borrowing or selling items to fund play.
- Feeling anxious, irritable, or low when trying to stop.
- Play affecting work, study, relationships, or finances.
